The Men's Club of Congregation B'nai Israel is a forum at which local
Jewish men can congregate and participate in the life of our community.  

Meetings are held monthly with breakfast on Sunday mornings.  The format
includes a Shacharit service held jointly with the 7th grade religious school 
students at 9:00 a.m. followed by breakfast and a guest speaker.  Speakers
come from our club, our congregation, the UF Center for Jewish Studies, the
local Jewish community and from afar. 

One annual Shabbat weekend is sponsored and fully conducted by the 
Men's Club.  Annual Membership fee is $18 and is open to those who would 
enjoy participating in our activities.

The Men's Club raises funds for Jewish Youth activities, including sponsorship
of travel to statewide meetings and a partial scholarship to Camp 
Ramah Daron.  

We give each B'nai Mitzvah either a Chanukiah or Teffilin, based upon their 
preference and need.  We financially support the annual Yom Hashoah 
memorial service.  We have assisted and provide support for the Annual 
Gainesville Jewish community picnic.  We provide and assemble a 
congregational Succah.  We help to make repairs to the children's playgrounds.  
We provide manpower to supplement professional security personnel during 
the High Holy Day services.  

We are affiliated with the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs.
